Update July 2009. Bill at Hi Performance Golf Cars was kind enough to send me the programmer unit for the Curtis controller. With this and his phone support, I changed the accelerator lift-off regeneration algorithm to give me more regen braking. It's great now - I hardly have to touch the brakes under normal driving. The regen wont stop me rolling down a hill at low speed so I still need the regular friction brakes and the hand-brake.

Since there is no gear box, there is an issue with safety when parked. Relying on the hand-brake is rarely a good idea so some method of jamming the differential would be good. However, before I work that out I will simply use some trailer chocks which are made of durable plastic and are light-weight. They fit nicely in the trunk.
